Being a shy child was actually a blessing. Even as a 5 year old I hated being away from my parents when we weren't in the house, and I was deathly afraid of strangers and wouldn't ever agree to do anything with them, even before I understood that doing things with strangers is bad.

The worst part is, if the ice cream man takes you when you’re home alone, whose gonna think to check out the ice cream man when you’re missing? More than likely they’ll check friends, family and neighbors. I highly doubt anyone is gonna say “well the ice cream man came down the street at 1pm.” And even if they did, whose gonna really check in detail about the ice cream man!! It’s hidden in plain site....
