Thanks for putting this out! Your examples definitely help to illustrate what I think many of us know naturally- that personal testimony in most cases is very compelling, even if it contradicts our own experience. I think we can at the very least say that as individuals we normally have to weigh the pros and cons of relying on our own experience vs someone else's. A lot of people will kind of put miracles in the "not really important" category where there really aren't pros or cons, but people like Hume make it clear that the "God question" *Is* important - even for secular folks. We ultimately all need to make a decision, which could (and I believe does) have everlasting consequences :)
