His research seeks to understand the mechanisms that support lung metastasis development in osteosarcoma. We focus on the interactions between tumor cells and lung cells, between tumor cells and immune cells, and between individual tumor cells that exhibit distinct types of behavior. By manipulating these interactions using well-tolerated agents, we hope to make the tumor cells much less comfortable in the lung—preventing metastases from forming and rendering resistant tumors treatable.
