How To Add Transitions To Instagram Reels

For the people still struggling, (I feel your pain), I think I found the answer. You have to add your clips FIRST, and before you start clipping/editing them, you will see the little white bars in between each clip. Click on these, and that is where you add the transitions. It seems you have to do this prior to starting the editing process, idk why. Once you start clipping, those white bars go away, and there's no going back. Also, don't add too many clips at first. If you have a lot of them, add a small amount first, and then you'll have to add the rest individually and add the transition after each one even once you "apply to all" (sucks, I know.) I had to learn the hard way and started all over after hours! The feature has not been removed. It's still there. You just have to follow this sequence. Hope this helps!

The transition option does now show up on my reels. Is mine messed up or did they move where you add transitions?

Mine says edit video not edit clip and I cannot add a transition. Too bad!

I done this transition on one of my reels but now this option seems to have disappeared for new reels I’d like to make. Is this just a new update that no longer allows these kind of transitions on reels?

i found that for samsung it is the SPLIT option
