Theoretically 40a could be possible depending on the components but not with this wire

40 A will produce 160 Watts in the 0, 1 Ohm resistor alone.

I assume noise and ripple is garbage on this but how does it perform as a battery charger? Been looking for an effecient way to move energy from a 48v battery to 12v for some time. Can these work in paralell for higher amperage?
