This kind of abuse is actually quite common. I've been a photo/stunt double on dozens of blockbusters, and the sad reality is background is often regarded as "less than" by crew and actors.

Ive literally seen background performers abused by directors and then silenced when they speak up. As an extra, you're essentially the absolute bottom of the totem pole on a movie set. I was once dangled out the back of a police van traveling 50mph around a sharp corner. Often given dangerous scenes with no stunt pay. I've also been hypothermic on "The 100" filming in December in Canada. To the point I was unable to finish the week.

But the courts will decide if this was intentional on the actor's part. Regardless, being stomped by an actor doesn't seem out of the ordinary to me.

Don't assume its untrue either unless you've worked as a background actor and know FIRST hand how TOXIC this industry is and how BADLY many but not all sets treat background actors.

Should be easy to prove. Multiple witnesses would have seen it including the assistant director. It should also be easy to prove that he had a concussion with medical records. I find it unlikely that he’d lie especially when it is incredibly easy to prove if it’s true or not.

This reminds me of the way Bijou Phillips treated Daniel Franzese on the set of Bully. She kicked him hard in the back of his head, called him fat and disgusting and used derogatory slurs against his sexuality.

Sounds off to me concussions tend to have low immediate symptoms but the next day is rough and these things change slowly it would also be pretty obvious to everyone on set that a guy just got smacked hard enough to cause immediate symptoms

Not surprised. Directors like Holly Dale is know for treating extras like crap. Worked with her on set and threatened to hit me. But people like her still work in this industry

This is all one sided. We don't know what he did to trigger her to act like this. He could have harrassed her belittled her or disrespected her x her husband. But of course he pressed charges because he could. He's just in it for a payday.
