a tip that I´ve just learned today abaout blender: keep the right scale of the objects, so you can avoid many problems or things that seem unreal. For exemplae your Light set up is over then 2000 wats, keeping the correct scale you can take a 100 or 200 wats light, much more realistc, as the same way you can apply most realistc results of focal length and depth of field
