I lost my home to a fire 26 years ago and when nosy neighbors started gawking & tromping through the ruins of my home, it enraged me. I felt so violated. What these two did, and what those LA officials did by allowing them to do it, on camera no less, brings the horror all back to me. It's beyond indescribable of just how violated you feel when people who have no respect and no business being on your property, nor have any intention of helping out in any way, come in and trespass. I despise H&M in a very strong way!

You need to do a video on Megan going to California and only acting concerned when a camera is around. She hugs her own staff like she was hugging someone that lost their home. Then pushes a volunteer that is helping people out of the way. Also, while other stars have given thousands of dollars to help people the Meg and her lap dog have given nothing. Other stars have come and are actually helping. They don't call the paparazzi to film them.

Also, you know that these are the Paps that MeMe called, because they even noted what Me Me and Harold were wearing. No other, person that is interviewed has been noted to what they were wearing. Happy Birthday to the lovely Princess of Hearts, Catherine. It was so good to see her looking more like her old self, she looked much more recovered from her major surgery and a Hellish year of cancer treatments, we can only prey that she continues to recover and lives a long and happy life now ❤❤❤😊

I've worked disaster relief and it's a challenge.

I tell you that the M&H "performance" is nothing new to those of us who man those disaster relief centers. Usually it's politicians that show up for the "caring" photos and TV interviews. They always have at least a few photographers, an aide or two, and usually a local TV crew in tow. They'll often repeat the production with a different local TV station so they get more coverage. We'll call that pol or celeb a VIP for brevity's sake.

These "tours", photo ops, whatever you want to call them are always disruptive because the VIPs expect people to cater to them. The VIPs often send an advance person or call ahead with very specific orders about what the VIP wants and the time they will be appearing. Orders often run like this for those photo/video ops - "find me a woman with two or three toddlers, a young adult who is separated from a loved one, someone who hasn't had a chance to clean up, and get my VIP right there with them. Make sure my VIP is surrounded by hard-working volunteers and all kinds of donated goods." (Read - My boss (VIP) is wanting a scene of utter bathos so she/he/they can appear comforting them, but make sure no one is actually mentally prepared to confront she/he/they with specific questions about why this happened and she/he/they part in it) . I am not kidding you.

There are a couple I can remember that didn't have some kind of entourage and they have my respect. They came to observe, asked the organizers in charge of the center what they could do to help, took notes and left. And usually within a few hours, additional resources were made available.

The rest of the celebs or pols, it's kinda like the dog and pony show - which for M&H is probably appropriate, although I'm not sure who is the dog and who is the pony. I saw that footage and I about barfed.

As a teenager in Oregon I worked for the Forest Service in a special program for disadvantaged kids. One of our jobs was to clear the brush and deadwood from the forest floor. It’s called slag.
If I’m not mistaken this practice was stopped in California by environmentalists.
I’m all for protecting the environment but it has to be reasonable and not put humans in danger.
