Thank you for your videos, they're great!

I recommend everyone check the website for the state in which they want to get a P.E. I want to do it in Idaho where I work, and they are like Texas where the P.E. examination and the qualifying work experience are decoupled.

Hi I just found your page and so far it has been so great! but question on the experience piece. I feel like my background is somewhat atypical (maybe not) I have worked at an Energy Consulting company, where we implemented conservation improvement programs for utilities (plus a few other one off things). I was doing engineering calculations and things of that nature, but it was somewhat the same thing just for different buildings. How would you put that on the application? would you list it as one item (because there really was way to many to do multiple) and just explain what I did?
Also, are you basically screwed on your experience if you don't have a PE to sign off on it? does it have to be an engineer even? I'm having difficulty understanding the rules on our application.
I'll also add that from my research, in Minnesota you can take the exam, but you have to show proof of your experience within 5 years.

Hi, thank you for your video! Do you know if the NY State board allows engineers to take the PE exam before being approved of the 4 years of experience ?
