This was the race that made me a NASCAR fan. My dad needed me to tape the race as he was at work. I watched flag to flag to make sure it taped for him. I was just 7 years old. This week is bittersweet. This years 500 will be my first without him. He passed in November

This was a fun race to watch. My grandpa got me into NASCAR. Both of us were Gordon fans and had a ton of respect for Earnhardt. I wish NASCAR was still this fun. RIP Grandpa.

These 2 were best of freinds off the truck and working in a cup car for super speedways.Dale always looked tough but was a guy you wanted be your freind. Always there when your needed, That was Dales way of life for all. Much respect.
