I had a husky a couple of years ago. She would bounce and run around the house any time we even touched the walking leash. It would take at least 10 minutes just to get the harness on her. It would take 5 minutes just to push her back to open a door without her leaping outside and dragging one of us behind her. The first couple of times I took her on a walk I didn't know how much she wanted to go for a walk and she dragged me past the door and over the steps to the yard. Thankfully no injuries occurred, but I learned real quick how to make sure that didn't happen again. I tried to teach her to be patient before going outside, but I think she was teaching me.
