We had one puppy that kept trying to take food from our oldest (kinda grumpy) dog. I repeatedly took the puppy away, but he kept going back to the old dogs food. Finally, I just let him, and the result was identical to this. Old dog snapped, growled, and pushed the puppy to the ground with his mouth, but never tried to seriously harm the puppy. And the puppy cried a lot like the one in the video. He never tried to take the oldest ones food after that.

I wish we could see what he did. Unfortunately I have seen some mothers discipline one pup more than others whether they are guilty or not. From the brief clip, it's impossible to be sure he was a bully.

If you slow motion frame by frame… it is clear and obvious that mom… NOWHERE NEAR BIT THE PUPPY! She didn’t close her jaw once she gripped him and he prob didn’t even feel her teeth. She just “grabbed” him with her mouth and let go. There is no way she attempted to bite him. Although I already knew that. This is just dog culture. How they discipline their puppies. And very good job mama!

I'm pretty sure that's what canines would do. They bite but gently to threaten just to discipline the child, I'm sure it's done instinctively in the canine language. It"s like a parent disciplining a child.

Gosh that’s the cutest sound on planet earth! Poor little baby! He wasn’t hurt or anything…. He was just scared. Everything about puppies are the best… their milk filled bellies, their cries, their puppy breath and baby teeth. The cutest!!! But they grow up so fast! I’m the blink of an eye!
