Yep as a New Zealander seeing the opening scenes with a Maori with a bow and arrow, then indian Tee pee, which they had no knowledge of and never used...displays how little research went into this.

There are many diffrent ways of telling this story and many different legands.This one is mainly who fought for the land to have it as there own. And there is other stuff like the treaty o waitangi . But how the island was created is a great maori tale. So Maui basicly used his grandmothers jaw bone as a fish hook and he went out fishing with it ( He left from the island not know on map with his brothers) and he pulled up the north island ( which is belived to be a giant stingray because of the shape) and then a strom came and made him and is brothers tip. Which is now know as the south Island and all the alps are him and his brothers or smt. That basically what we were told in school anyway.

New Zealand is my favourite country! I love him!💜💜💜
