Making her triumphant return to the Healthcare Unfiltered show is Urvi Shah, MD, hem/onc and multiple myeloma expert at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, this time to shed light on how dietary considerations present a low-risk way to modify the microbiome and help prevent certain cancers.

Dr. Shah opines on whether her findings on the association between diet and cancer in myeloma will be scalable in other malignancies, offers a few of her findings related to dietary habits and cancer diagnoses, describes the double standard in the ways drug vs dietary clinical trials are considered, and shares a recent publication she published on the planetary impact of dietary choices, among other discussion points.

A must watch/listen episode for everyone interested in the impact of dietary interventions and cancer development and/or progression. Don't forget to hit the subscribe and like buttons, and as always I would appreciate you writing a brief review and suggesting this podcast to your colleagues and friends.

Thank you for this conversation. I started studying nutrition and cancer in 2003. The science becomes more clear to me each year.
