I cut the take where I said this, but I think its really important: If any of this stuff is too expensive for you right now, whatever your situation is, start smaller, & build up to more expensive stuff. The prices of things I fix and flip sort of grew up with me, and a have been lucky enough to have stable job that helps support this habit, and by nature flipping things is self sustaining.

Damn you make that Juno sound so nice. Glad you were able to find inspiration from my video! I love the approach to getting stuff used and showing what you actually paid.

Oh hey! That was my polysix! Thank you for being pleasant and easy to work with, I'm glad it's working for you :)

I appreciated you speaking about the practicality of something like the Space Echo, maybe I’m just a weirdo, but being pragmatic I feel keeps things grounded. Also, volca sample is my 2nd favorite volca.😀

MPC 1000 and 2500 are beautiful and not overly complicated - really enjoyed those machines

Just hearing you mention playing an Omnichord as a Bard in a D&D campaign made this entire video worth the watch. Wish I would have had players like you when I DM'd back in the day. Good stuff man.

man I've been doing what you're doing and it's basically allowed me to upgrade literally everything I have, these last 4 months alone I've literally found so much insane shit I can't get over it. I've been learning about vintage electronics and it's been so much fun, I picked up a juno 106 for 200 bucks earlier this year and have been waiting for my tax return so I can actually buy some voice chips for it. Heck in the last 3 months I also found a tascam 388 and also a oberheim DXa, the tascam was saved from the dump and was absolutely beat to shit but I love how it sounds. I'm in the process of getting some more potentiometers for the thing so I can fix one of the channel cards that's dead. I agree with you about fixing your own gear, it really is magical because it really feels like "yours" or whatever. Going to school has made this hobby kind of hard but I'm fortunate enough to have the space to work on stuff while living at home (even though you might think I paid a fuck ton for those I paid only 50 more than what you paid for your juno for those, im on that broke student life). Facebook marketplace and offerup have literally been killer for this, these deals do happen if you're there at the right time and go for it. I'm the same way though, I've basically traded up and sold whatever I don't like and basically haven't spent much of anything to do it. Anyway wanted to say hell yeah this shit does happen and that this video is good!

Hey Jorb - love this. I love studio tours and it's super cool that you tell us how much you paid. I'm in the Uk and ask Alexa to do a $-£ conversion 😁 and I think you got a great deal on most of your stuff! I like looking at and hearing vintage gear but I'm not able to repair it so it's not something I would consider buying. If we wait long enough, Behringer will clone it all anyway 🤣

Never knew there was a mixer sending that many channels over USB! That's killer! If I told you a friend of mine just got an Odyssey and an Omni 2 for $100 on craigslist (for both) you probably wouldn't believe me. Needed repair but he just had them both done up. I am ver r r r y jealous. The AX-60 is super cool - just got my AX80 back from repair. Love the teeth of that Poly Six Sounds! Thanks for this in-depth share!

Had a good laugh at your channel description. It comes across very differently over here in Australia hahahaha. Glad I clicked though, not what I was expecting but it was a great vid!

I just can't appreciate enough and how hilarious it is that you put a "homemade" behringer swing sticker on your keystep lol!
