Ecler came back into the DJ gear game with a vengeance last year, releasing their Warm 2 rotary mixer. Now they’ve followed that up with the WARM4, another all analogue rotary which adds 2 more channels, and some unique features. On the new episode of Beatsource Tech, Mojaxx gives it a full review, and asks if twice the channels equals twice the fun.

Mojaxx gets my vote for the BEST reviewer of DJ gear! Keep it up!

The Ecler Warm 4 sounds like the SAAB 900 Turbo of boutique rotary mixers. 😊 I loved my SAAB because it was quirky. Quirky doesn’t mean poorly designed or incapable. Quite the contrary with that car and this mixer. And while the sub harmonic feature probably isn’t something I’d use I’m super keen on hearing well into my late 80’s so split cue is a must for me. Great review as always @mojaxx! ✊🏽

I think your review of the sub harmonic feature was very interesting and it's great to have gear educating us about gear of the past and reintroducing it. It might not be for everyone but it's really nice to see different features coming out on mixers. As rotary's are becoming popular Ecler has something brought something new to offer DJs as well as a great price. Thanks for the great reviews and insights.

Great review. Only other dj mixers I've seen a subharmonic processor on were made by Furman, back in the 80s. Very nice, simple and good quality mixers for the time. Far outclassed in features by this one.

Beautiful mixer in terms of looks and sound, but that subharmonic synth idea takes it to the moon...

that sub harmonic feature is epic! what a tool. old records obviously lack that sub end we're used to now. In the right hands, this is a gamechanger!

Well done Mo. I thoroughly enjoyed the review and demonstration of the Warm 4 features and audio output. This is a serious competitor for my money in the near future! Thank you and Cheers!

I miss kill switches and punch buttons! I was terrible with them but very fun.

Another wicked review, the split cue is a huge miss for me. One of my regular house gigs has below par monitoring and split cue is a life saver, I spend all night mixing on IEMs. I may just diy a solution with an external small audio mixer and grab one anyway. I covet thou rotary!

Real dope! You said I should probably get the WARM2, I might skip, and get the WARM4. Thanks man! 🙏🏾

My road mixer is an Ecler Nuo5 and my home mixer is a Rane MP2016 with a DBX 500 Subharmonic Synthesizer. It’s like the folks at Ecler are micro targeting me with this mixer.

I can't say with any certainty, but I believe that the +12dB switch on the Master and Booth Outputs is a response to a major complaint about the Nuo series mixers, which was that they had a quite low master output by design. They were intended to he routed to a house mixer, and therefore kept the signal output low so as to not overdrive the mic preamps and require attenuation. If you were connecting directly to speakers however, the output was underwhelming and needed a lot of amplification.

Very glad to have the option to boost output on these new models!

Still use a Ecler Hak 380 and to me its still one of the best battle scratch mixers, the scratch cue system enabling you to dail im the scratching on the crossfader in your hear phones was genius, plus the Eternal crossfader was as good as it gets for a scratch dj and a shame it only goes in a few of there mixers ....great reviews

Nice one, brilliant video mate. I remember the one you did on the 2, I loved it but wished it had a couple more channels! Sounds superb and personally I think it’s absolutely stunning. First class build quality, love the features, want one. You can’t afford not to buy one at that price too. I mean, I can’t afford to buy one at the moment, but it’s extremely well priced!

The subharmonic synth is amazing, so many records I have have varying bass levels, that I wish had more umph

The DB4's filter EQ's were awesome. My favourite bit of quirk...

First thing I thought of when you were demoing the Isolator on/off switch was it could be used as a talkover. Set the Isolators accordingly and engage them when you speak.

Oddest but best feature I used on a DJ Mixer was on my old Numark PPD 1950. It has an Aphex Aural Exciter. Really gave life and sparkle to older records.

Having had an Ecler Nuo4.0, if I was still dj-ing I would be getting this. It looks amazing. Almost enough to make me want to go back to it!

I think putting a filter in the place of the sub synth would have been a way better use of that space. Otherwise, super excited to play on the Warm4 in the future.
