True or untrue, American business author Stephen Shapiro believes that necessity is the mother of invention and laziness is the father of innovation. Philosophy aside, practicality is put to test Thursday through Sunday when advanced wearables of invention and innovation are on display at the world's largest consumer technology fair in Las Vegas.
The fair, called Consumer Electronics Show or CES, expects to draw thousands of visitors, diligent or otherwise.
Apart from headsets capable of embedding people in different realities and wrist watches able to pump people up, shoes will also join show which allow wearers to tighten and loosen shoe laces through phone apps in the stead of bending over and pressing abdomen against thigh.
"Push the button, and then it's going up and down. So let's say for lazy people who don't want to make any efforts to tie their laces, this is a perfect solution," said Oskar Mondrian, a sales director from Digitsole.
For those male smartphone users who care enough about their reproduction health, the highlight of this year's CES will be this anti-radiation underwear.
"There are more and more studies coming out, saying that many who keep phones in their pockets, experience strongly decrease in fertility; so the Cleveland Clinic for instance, issued a study saying that for men who keep phones for more than four hours per day in their pockets, they experience a 50-percent reduction in sperm count which is huge," said Arthur Menard from Spartan Underwear.
Wearable wear and tear are not just here for human beings. They are also available for the best friends of Man.
"Like the majority of dog owners, finally I want to know if my dog is happy," said Yann Puslecki, the chief marketing officer from Jagger Lewis.
Whatever the cause-effect, both humans and their animal friends are benefiting more and more from such wearable invention and innovation of both necessity and laziness.
