Omg what great rhyming to help remember. More light, more bright! How have I never thought of that!

I certainly understand your tips about slow shutter speed but TBH, I really like the effect you got on Milton the cat at 3:48. Milton looks like he's passing through from another dimension.

Jason - we all so appreciate you sharing knowledge instead of falling into just gear mongering.

Nice Job! I feel like I should be more rude considering this is the youtube comment section.... Pepsi takes better photos.... there I feel like I trolled you and now my life is complete. Seriously, great production quality and good info! I'm not a pro. I don't even play one on the internet. In fact, I'm barely youtube certified on the topic, and so thanks for putting that info together.

Your Videos are every time helpful.
I also like the voice of your wife for the chapters.

something else that changes your depth of field other than aperture is how far away you are from what youre photographing and what focal lengh youre using on the lens and how far away youre focusing.. if youre really close and use a wider focal length you will have more depth of field in 2.8 then if youre farther away and zoomed in with f/8.. if youre in f/8 and standing in the back of the room in 500mm you will have narrow depth of field.. this actually affects depth of field more than the f stop number. theres a thing called hyperfocal distance where if you focus at that distance you will have infinite depth of field..

Amazing video, thanks so much for! I do have a question, this video was basically focus for still photos or photos were you have the time to set all your settings. But what do we do if we are in a run and gun situation and don’t have the time to set all 3 settings, for example using Aperture Priority. What do we do here to get sharp and noiseless photos? Thanks a lot! 🙏🏼

Dear Jason,
Thank You much for your absolutely incredible tutorials which are a pure treasure!
It happens I often wotk in quite low lighting (people on scene with shower light -i know, i know not very flattering but I can't help it ;-). I was wondering which i your opinion is the highest iso I could use without loosing to much of the image quality in my Alpha 7rIII?

Thank You you for your advice!
