Doesn't this, the fact that there are so many big centralized exchanges now manipulating prices to liquidiate traders, mean that now we can't really go as crazy parabolic as before?
Exchanges have enough spot coins in reserve to buffer big buys/sells and allow prices to only fluctuate enough to keep leveraged traders in check, and not pay them too much. If things go way up or way down in a strong trend, they will have to do liquidity grabs (which would abort momentum) or sell their reserve coins to pay traders (which also affect prices), and the last option put them at risk of insolvency if the trend is down.

Good content thanks. These exchanges have you by the short and curlies! They have visibility on all positions. The retail trader does not stand a chance! Until you can hide your market orders from the exchanges you have a target on your back. The FOREX industry went through this 15years ago.

if i were an exchange, trading with or against my users makes perfect sense, given that most people are wrong. and matching 2 of my users up against each other, like betfair allows you to do makes plenty sense because they you're not having to pay someone else's fees.
