But I feel his pain a little- when my brother grew up and surpassed me in height even, I missed him being tiny and adorable😭 I’m his sister and now I look like the younger one and I can’t protect him as much as I used to anymore. He’s just stronger than me in a lot of ways. Still- he grew up into a fine man so I’m still proud of him. Even if he does pat me on the head now for emphasis of whose bigger now! Humph!

Fun fact: "Aniki" also means big brother but is really often used in Yakuza. Only boys use this to their older guy friends/brothers because it is too rough for Japanese girls to say it and it is rude to address older guys this way if you're not close to them. So basically, "aniki" means "bro" but you're gangsta.

I have a little sister that is younger than me by 8 years. When she stopped being my little sister and became a teenager, it got quite sad for me. She didn't enjoy being my little sister anymore. Just a sister that is younger. More serious, less cute.

Of course, she is still cute for me. I know her baby days, even. I just cannot hug and kiss her as much anymore.
