As someone who loved the 1990 film. I still loved this one and glad this remake exists. While the original was more iconic, nightmare fuel(which I love), and serious, this one was more light hearted, whimsical and just fun to watch. And it's wholesome that you can tell Angelica Huston and Anne Hathaway both really enjoyed playing as the Grand High Witch in their respective movies. I know a lot of people hated the remake, but for me at least, I'm actually glad to have seen both films. I find it nice that we get a variety of versions these days.

The main characters look like normal mice while the witches become mutant rats.

i do actually really like this rat transformation scene in THIS film adaption & it certainly does beat the 1990 film version in terms of modern technology🐀
