M5stack ESP32 ATOM Matrix Programming with microBlocks.
Check out this new Scratch inspired 'blocky' programming interface for ESP32, Arduino and other development boards. We install microBlocks, take a quick tour of the features and run through some of my own sample programs. One cool feature in this IDE is 'live code'. You can run the code on your board or read sensor output without flashing the code onto your board.

Hi there! One of the MicroBlocks devs here. Updating the firmware is something you have to do just once before connecting to a board for the first time. That makes the board microBlocks-capable. After that, you can just disconnect the board _at any point in time_ and the program you wrote will just keep running in it. There's no need for a manual upload/compile step, the board is always in sync with what you see on screen :)

Hi Shokutech Guy ! I'm glad this tutorial offered me a chance to try "scroll text" feature. Did you notice UIFlow doesn't offer such feature? But nevertheless, it seems that; like me, you couldn't change the displayed texts' color; isn't it? MicroBlocks Wiki describes a "Set Display Color" brick, pretty much similar to UIFlow's "Set RGB bar color" one; only it is unavailable here so far. Have you got a clue why? The wiki entry states that "this is only effective on TFT displays with multiple color support" - I'm unfamiliar with what TFT is; yet as for multiple color support, I believe Atom Matrix would tick this box. Question is: any clue why the color choice is not showing?
Thanks for this nice tutorial anyway!!

That must be interesting with a larger "screen" of LEDs!
