The Forgotten memory of Jean Old John Lemoigne. We hike to his grave located in the middle of Death Valley.

Come along with me as we learn about the History of Jean Lemoigne, a French miner, who's Canyon I almost died in a few weeks ago. His grave site was buried and neglected. We fixed that so he can go another 103 years alone...

I received a book "Deep Enough" by Frank A. Crampton the night before this hike. THANKS STANLEY! I will have more stories and adventures to come from this book.

Jenni, you are an old soul. You pay respect to those who have came before us. Least they be forgotten. Thankyou

A man never dies while his name is spoken. You go well beyond, and have an intimacy for this guy. What a great gal!

Great video Jenni. I loved the story that you did along with the hike to the grave. You have made him live a little longer by saying his name. When a person dies, they die twice. The day they die and then the last time their name is said. Now that you have placed a headstone with his name on it, every person that goes there will say his name. You have made him last longer than he ever would by people just sharing his story. When you walk into a graveyard, say the names on the stones so that person will live longer in memory.

Thanks for the history lesson. Very interesting. Looking forward to more tales. I'll dig around, but don't have a lot of resources. Thanks for continuing the story. I just found 3 pages (albeit small) written on Lemoigne in " Mines of Death Valley" by Belden, Burr. (1966).

Love the history Jenni and thank you for taking the time to do something so sweet for someone who history has forgotten. We have had this site pinned for a long time now and will be bringing a rock or two of our own to continue this wonderful tradition you’ve created! Good on you!
