On February 28, 2022, Blavatnik National Awards Laureate in Physical Sciences & Engineering, Prof. Matthew Brookes from the University of Nottingham gave a remote presentation on his wearable magnetoencephalography (MEG), a new technology that opens up the possibility of imaging human brain activity in moving subjects, young children, adults in active motion, and patients with neurological disorders. Brookes is leading the field to realize the huge potential of this technology in both fundamental neuroscience research and clinical applications. Brookes' talk was presented at the 2022 Blavatnik Awards in the UK Ceremony at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
