'White Death' – Sabaton Cover by Red Mage

Finally back with some vocal stuff! This time I'm going back to one of my Power Metal "firsts" with Sabaton. Whilst White Death is a banging track, it also has some sentimental value to me for... perhaps obvious reasons o_O

Anyway, some footnotes about the historical text:
-Finland was not 100% alone. Many volunteers from many nations arrived to aid the Finns in their desperate defense, most from neighbouring Sweden. Fun fact, the late great Sir Christopher Lee also volunteered!
-"The Winter War" lasted from 30th of November to 13th of March, so tomorrow it will be 84 years since the war ended.
-The rumoured tally of over 500 actually takes into account Häyhä's kills with his submachine gun. Häyhä supposedly killed over 300 enemies with his rifle and around 200 with the aforementioned submachine gun.

Original Composition: Joakim Brodén & Pär Sunström
Arrangement, vocals, guitars and programming: Laurie Hawke

Fun fact: Before I began playing the guitar, I took piano lessons for a few years. I decided to dust off some of my skills and played the keyboard (organ) solo on this track by hand.

Fun fact, Häyhä lived a full life with no regrets, no PTSD, even if half of his skull was blown off.
Now look at yourself again and reevaluate your life and how hard its been.
