It was also designed around a nice soft pad that we found online for the baby to lie on while you change their diaper. We love this setup because we would rather stand up at a comfortable height to change our babies than to change them on the floor.

This baby changing topper can also sit on an existing dress as well we explain how you can do that in the blog post.

And when you are done using it to change the babies It works great as a Display Shelf that you can hang on the wall. So it has multiple uses not just one.

Check out our blog post to see all the detailed information about this project, of the items we used and to get a copy of the plans.

Can you use small screws instead of nails/nail gun? Or will it split this wood do you think?

Hello, I'm commenting on this one, because its the newest, & I hope you will see my comment, as I like your work, & believe you might have the answer for me. I cannot find any videos online for what I want to do. Could you please do a video on how to put shelves on the sides of a large opening? I have a 92 inch opening entry, from my kitchen into my dining room. I have no shelf space in this 100 year old house. I was thinking it would be nice to utilize the sides of the opening to create shelf space for my tea cups, The depth of the opening framework is about 4 1\2 inches. I think it's a 2 x 6. I would like about 20 1/2 inches taken off each side of the 92 inch opening, to make floor to ceiling shelves. That would still give me a good size opening, & allow me to have the shelf space I like. I'm not quite sure how to do this. Would I just build the shelf & fit it into the opening? What size should the outside upright boards be for this. Can I use 1 x 6s for the outside shelf wall? Or would I need a 2 x 6? Could I utilize the framing already there on this inside walls to attach the shelves to it on one side? I hope you can give my project some consideration. Thanks a lot. I hope it makes sense to you. Have a great day.

Do you mind sharing the dimensions of your topper? Including the small boxes? I purchased the same change pad. Thank you 😊
