There’s always gonna be a small pause between words because that’s what makes a word, a word rather than a long string of characters. ChatGPT just happened to call them breaths.

It’s because it’s trained off the data from people speaking. We say words, and there are pauses in between words (regardless of how short). So when he said taking no pauses it took that literally, then words wouldn’t be words any more, it would just be garble.

Not weird. It's just how the voice encoder works. Obviously thr voice is trained to include breaths and pauses to sound human. They would need to add a new voice that is trained without breaths.

That and if taken to extremes you need some for differentiation
