I really honor how Dimash makes a point in many appearances to sing a song in the audience's language, usually one they know well...shows respect for the culture.

Hi Dr. Marc! Thank you, thank you for this reaction! I happened to be there, in the audience. You see what happened. Dimash had a concert in Moscow March 9, the last day before cancellation of all big events. Two days later he had this concert in Kiev, the same thing, schools closed, large events cancelled. Dimash and his pianist have learned the song and the accompaniment the very night between the shows. The song is in Ukrainian language, not Russian, meaning that Dimash had to learn it phonetically. The audience totally loved it. That bit, singing together, was so overwhelming that I had tears on my eyes. It felt precious, a gift. It feels so far away somehow... Yes that's his mom, he was singing a ukranian song related to mothers ❤ is just amazing how Dimash always try to learn and sing a song for wherever country he is performing 🥰 that's one of the things that make his concerts so special
