Evan, this was wonderfully helpful. I have a 15 Pro and shoot simple 3-minute clips of music performances. The ProRes LOG workflow is smooth and easy, and the results, especially for faces on stage, are wonderful. All the goodness makes the upgrade to 16 Pro a bit harder, but the audio features in the 16 are the clincher. More confidence shooting impromptu clips without a rig and Shure MV88+ mic.

iPhone footage needs less sharpness, not more. Ergo, LOG on the 15 Pro looks marginally better than on the 16 Pro.

Well, still prefer Motioncam Pro....with it on android we have RAW DNG footage, or direct Prores Log recording too, but with 1 inch sensors, no digital sharpening, you can also choose various logs profiles and various gamuts, even shoot direct in davinci wide gamut, and so much more....good video though
