Lucky, the main thing is marriages and what defines it in Singapore is protected now. Only can be repealed in parliament with a minimum 2/3 majority vote. Many man and woman pro-marriages also want Government to ensure that they can have the right to practice their own belief and if they refuse to acknowledge or serve same sex couples in future at least they won't be sued.

Actually i dont really understand why ppl are all rejoicing about this abolishment? Because this wasnt actively enforced unless u go have "business" in public view/places lah.

If ppl were to say to stop discriminating then the repeal of this led to a clear definition of marriages in the constituition then gay marriages is still excluded what! Isnt that the more important point should be reviewing marriages law to be inclusive of differences in the society and not tye repeal of the 377a?
