Being in a college town I see the point of it. It's small and agile and easily stored. Can zip from place to place. Put a elctric ride assist hub wheel on it and you have a compact mode of transportation from class to class.

What's the purpose of the sharp spike where a seat would be?  Looks like a painful accident waiting to happen.

It would be nice if there was a description, it looks like it may have improved stability, and I don't if it's more or less efficient for pedaling.

I guess what confuses me is that there is less material, already existing technology, dangerous to learn to ride... but the bike cost 880 pounds ($1, 400 US.) Really? This one should clock in around $150. It was an interesting idea that I was considering giving a try until I saw that price tag. What am I missing?

I stand corrected, most have seats, but they have them small and lowered all the way down - thus they are virtually the same as this bike. There are SOME freestyle riders who do not use seats at all. Would it make you happy if I called it TRIAL?

One of my biggest concerns is if it's chains slip while the rider is heavily pedaling. As the chains and gears fatigue there will be more and more chain slipping.

Would the shorter body or distance between the wheels  be a disadvantage or affect balance when going on slopes?

... that is why it is a FREESTYLE. Many times FREESTYLE bikers take their seats off - they don't use them and they get in the way so they just take them off.

advantages i can spot : easier to manouver, atleast its easier to make a quick and sharp turn.

it needs less space and is easier to lock safely when you need to leave it somewhere.
