It’s also very realistic as well like you said because these people who come from money treat those who don’t as if they don’t have a right to be in so society. The moment they retaliate they’re somehow the bad guy, when Jenny gave Blair just a smidgen of what Blair gave her she looked at her like “How dare you betray your queen?!“ these people with money and power don’t like when one stands up to them because it can cause an uprising and that’s why in so many shows they’re painted as the villains because they want people to believe fighting back against powerful people who wrong them is a bad thing

Honestly what were Blair’s real goals ? People always say she works hard and doesn’t get things handed to her like Serena does and I mean she did get good grades in school and excel, but she was a nepo baby like the rest of them and ended up taking over her mothers business as a designer something she never had any interest in, what was she working towards besides being royalty?

Dan wanted to be an author, Chuck wanted to be a club owner and an entrepreneur like his father, Jenny wanted to be a designer, Serena wasn’t sure what she wanted to do (which was very realistic) and showed how she struggled with finding what career she wanted. Blair acted as though she was above everyone else but she was just as uncertain as Serena when it came to what she should do, she just didn’t “struggle” like Serena did

It's funny how Jenny gave them what they gave her and they would play victim. matter of fact she didn't do HALF of what they did. Rufus was mis o g y nis tic and wanted to keep Jenny locked away, he always made comments about Serena and how Jenny wouldn't be like her. He had all of this fake morality and standards just to get married to Lily and move his entire family into her home 😂😂 why do you even have your child attending a private school and know they don't have the same things those kids have? even in public school they bully, like you want her to get a good education okay great but this is a school full of kids who come from generational wealth, why would you even want your children to go through that?? he was annoying

People don't like Jenny because she's what happens when the victim of a bully now has a vendetta against those who did what they did to her. They made everyone on this show who didn't come wealth the bad guys - Vanessa, Dan, Jenny, Rufus they portrayed their characters this way because they want people to think of lower class people as less than and people who should be "kept in their place" so to speak. It's the same way the industry and Hollywood is, they don't like people who rebel against them. I always say tv shows, movies etc. are made for a deeper reason and it's to program you into submission when it comes to the upper class who have stolen and profited off of the backs of the poor, lower class. they can't have you thinking it's okay to fight back in these shows because you might actually try to do it in reality.

Thank you for this. In the 5-year flashforward in the series finale, Jenny is a fashion designer and has a line under Waldorf Designs. I didn’t like that she became business partners with her former bully. It made more sense for Jenny to be Waldorf Designs’ competitor.

I know this word is over used by people, (not me because I don’t want it to lose its meaning) but Jenny was literally ICONIC. This random, talented nobody came to this prestigious school with rich kids and shook the table. She was making Blair sweat which many people couldn’t manage to do. She had Blair SCHEMING hardcore, Blair was so shook that she banned Jenny from one side of the bridge. Crazy. Jenny was hungry and crazy talented. She was wasted in those terrible people. And don’t even get me started on Blair’s thieving mom.
