Ended up in a wheelchair, rest of my life. I survived to watch my wife of 28 years decide that living with a man in a wheelchair was not for her, so she left me for another man. I have had way to many storms and tornados.

(he was never there).. mom is alone with her husband and ive been to 10 different counties.. this song always knows how to make my nights after a 24 pack in the barracks room alone. I was in the Navy in 1981. On an assault amphibious ship. Around 1700 Marines were on board. I met a marine on board who turned me on to Hank Junior. (He was from the South, I was a Yankee) I just watched this song now, is August 2024. I see this video is from 1982. I wonder where my Marine buddy is now.

The live version is much better than the original. Hank was really on it that night. This video has a certain aura about it that I can't explain. Makes you feel like you were at that show or something. Whatever it is, a great song, with well thought out lyrics. The outlaws were something else. There will never be another point in time like that. Country music has really gone down the shitter. In fact, calling it country music is a slap in the face to all who paved the way. Waylon would give all these new "artists" the three stooges open handed paint brush bitch slap if he was still around. RIP Waylon
