Finally a LGBT movie with a HAPPY ENDING!!! There should be more made like this because there is hope in many cases without someone dying. We all need more happy endings. This movie was one of the best movies I have seen in years!!! Watched it 3 times. Very well directed and both actors were awesome.

This filmmaker is at the top of his game. Superb visual storytelling with minimal dialogue. Emotional responses are earned by the story/performances as opposed to musical cues. The film is raw, dark, and bleak and yet profoundly beautiful, fluid and sensual. There is this unifying earthiness throughout that connects the characters to the land and their animals that I have never seen in a film. The actors are all amazing and the story avoids all cliches.

Saw the movie yesterday and loved it!! :) And while I want to say as everyone that it's a Brokeback Mountain in Yorkshire, this movie has its own vibe and mood, and I don't think it's fare to compare them. Perhaps the context is similar, but themes are different. It's not a man struggling to come out, it's a man struggling to find meaning and happiness in life, and then falling in love. And the ending was amazing, so happy to see a gay love story without a depressing ending!

I saw this twice at Sundance! I'm SO HAPPY to finally see a trailer for it! It's such a stunningly shot film. I love it so so much it hurts. I cannot say enough nice things about Francis (the filmmaker), and the leads Josh and Alec. I had the absolute honor and pleasure of getting to talk to all three for a bit at the awards party at Sundance. Honestly, they are three of the most genuinely sweet human beings I've ever had the opportunity to meet.
It's the opening night film at Outfest Los Angeles, and I can't wait to see it (and them) again! I remember telling Francis about Outfest and I'm so glad it's making it's debut there. It's just so amazing seeing a trailer finally. It's so good. <3

This film is the perfect example of how raw and torn a person's life can be but in between all of the mess is still able to find happiness. You don't have to kill or force soulmates apart to have a memorable experience.

This was great! took me by surprise. Very similar to my own story growing up then working full time on a farm with an emotionally stunted family (and myself) at the time and having a secret lover. Now I'm a teacher and still farm with my husband.

I help my friend with the LGBTQ+ film festival in my town, Winston Salem, and they showed this movie a few years back and it is my favorite movie from all of the years of the festival (and that is 7 years of movies). It is one of my favorite movies of all time. The reason is that it so beautifully illustrates the power of tenderness.
