Mark Few and Gonzaga players spoke to the media at Spokane Arena following their win over #4 Kentucky.

The No. 2 Gonzaga Bulldogs outhustled, outplayed, and out-energized the sluggish Wildcats from the opening tip, beating Kentucky by a final score of 88-72 in Spokane, WA. Gonzaga was powered by All-American Drew Timme‘s 22 points and seven rebounds to go along with 20 points and 14 rebounds from Julian Strwather.

Few and the Zags will play Portland State on Friday.

UK has a great team and they'll be in the final four as well as Gonzaga. Two great all teams. Keep things in perspective it's November, Oscar hasn't practiced with the team but couple times in a months. UK won't be missing all these shots later in the season, and Oscar won't be fouling out

I was at the game. And I am a big Gonzaga fan. I was happy they won. However, based on the eye test. It appeared they played a near perfect game. Yet, Kentucky got within a couple baskets. I could see that Kentucky was not on their best game. I'm concerned the zags don't have a true point guard. I finally realized why they haven't impressed me before this game.
It's because most of their baskets are coming from broken plays. Whereas last year, they scored more often on set plays. Lots of successful picks, and cutting, etc.
Many more easy baskets last year.
It also appears teams are better prepared to slow the zags down
By not letting them control the pace of play. I hope Mark Few makes the adjustments very soon. Lots of tough games coming soon.
Gonzagas style of game takes an excellent point guard to thrive.
This is the first year in quite awhile, where they don't have that person.

The number one priority for both Michigan State and Gonzaga was to stop CJ Fredrick.
