Показать описание
This videos gives a quick overview of the HDF5 file format and the tool HDFView. HDF5 file format allows one to store different types of data, including metadata, within the same file. The example data here is temperature date from several different NEON field sites but HDF5 file format can store data far beyond tabular data.

Thank you! Finally a video that shows how HDF5 actually works and not just describes its advantages in an abstract way.

why does being a temperature scientist sound so appealing. just checking to see if different ecosystems are doing ok and maybe visit the towers every once in a while for intense field study. the ideal life. I feel fulfilled just thinking about it

interesting though didn't show hierarchical data just some flat tables within a directory like structure within the file.

Hello. The video is very helpful. Actually I have to use MODIS data which is in hdf5 format, all these files are separate for each time. I wish to .erge all the files so that I can get a time series can you please suggest me how I can do that.
