For me this is the best sounding car ever made, even slightly better than the Mazda 767B & 787B.
And it's also one of the most beautiful F1 cars.

I went to Montreal every year during the 90s. I remember one year when the Ferraris were red-lining 2, 000 rpm higher than the other teams. It was not only very easy to recognize the Ferraris before they came into view, but what an experience it was listening to a V-12 at 17, 000 rpm back then.

In 2011 Jenson Button and Australian Craig Lowndes drove a McLaren MP4- 23 around Mt Panorama. I would never claim that the Mercedes 2.4 litre V8 sounded anywhere near as good as a Ferrari V12 but I was still gobsmacked by the volume of noise. I'm sure there are plenty of people that are familiar with the Bathurst track. We were watching from the top of the track, just before the very fast left hander known as the " grate ".
It was so loud it was the only race car I've ever heard warming up in the pits!!! And the only car that you could literally hear do the whole 6.1 km lap. Just freaking awesome. Let's all dip our lids to the people involved who build these awesome machines.

Been there every year from 1992 to 2013 and will never forget that first sound I heard. We were on that straight after Eau Rouge. Me and my brother ... like, oh a car wil pass soon... it's close... no...waaait, can't take long..." we had no idea... Later we knew, the Ferrari V12 we thought to see just was on the pit lane. The sunday aftet that, I wet my pants because of being that happy to hear...😅

I grew up near Watkins Glen in the 70s. Many things I dislike about F1 now. No sound, no smell, way too celebrity, blah, blah. Went to Miami last year and confirmed I'm not missing anything as far as the race experience. It has become much more about a fun weekend with the boys for me...
