A Utah native, Dr. Innes grew up in Sandy and attended Utah State University. He attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his internship at Tucson Hospitals Medical Education Program and then spent three years at the University of Alabama at Birmingham specializing in dermatology. During his final year of residency, Dr. Innes was selected to be the senior chief resident and was given the Walter P. Little Resident of the Year Award for his “dedication to patient care, leadership, and academic excellence.”

He says dermatology is a passion for him. “The factor that initially attracted me to dermatology is that I can see the organ system I’m dealing with. Both the patient and I can see improvement without the need to do a lot of imaging. This empowers the patient and allows me to involve them more in their care. We can then spend more time talking about the solution than figuring out the problem.”

Dr. Innes specializes in several areas of dermatology, including medical (such as acne and skin cancer), surgical (such as mole, cyst, and lipoma removal and split ear lobe repair), and cosmetics (such as botox, fillers, and vein treatments).

Dr. Innes is a proud husband and father of three children. He enjoys basketball, golf, water skiing, and woodworking.
