Was on the fence about purchasing electric Downrigger but maybe ill stick to the manual operation ones, at least they will work?

I have a pair of these, and am less than happy.  I've had to replace a circuit board on one unit.  Now they've decided that the auto-up feature doesn't work, and their support folks can't tell me why. 

By the way, when he talks about switching spools to use braid or any other "super line", what he's NOT telling you is that auto-up WILL NOT WORK.  AT ALL. That feature requires you to run stainless wire, period.  Be honest, dude.

The cable wound through the plastic spool ruing the spool and counter gear. Im sure with labor, new parts and cable it isn't worth fixing. Not happy
