Sometimes words are so hard.

I've realized that I'm a very visual thinker, and so when I'm tired or overstimulated, I'm too tired to translate my visual thoughts into a verbal instruction.

Why do I understand her but no one understands me when I say the same thing? 😅

I’ve been living with this for the last 59 years and I know exactly what you are talking about people make fun of me because I make up words all the time

Me and my best friend both have ADHD and we realized that the more comfortable we are with someone the more we do it, because they don't judge and can easily tell what we are trying to convey.. instead of standing there for an hour trying to remember a word or doing that um um the thing it's oh what is it called. Happy Halloween 🎃

I have trouble even DESCRIBING the object sometimes. My partner can somehow translate what it is, but sometimes it's a struggle.😅 However, with my mom (also with ADHD), describing comes easier for her and then I can determine what it is

I didn't know this was adhd. I thought I was expiriencing early onset dementia. 😭 I feel so much better after seeing this video, you have no idea lol

So that's what's been happening to me since I became a mom. I thought my braincells died during childbirth but perhaps the tiredness is just revealing neurospicy traits. 😅

I didn’t know this was a thing. It’s really frustrating and I thought it’s me getting old ….even though I’ve always had this problem. Good thing my husband is a saint. He rides on the dashboard of my car😊❤

Bwagh. Same issue. Words are hard sometimes, especially verbal words. Idk if I have ADHD yet, but I vibe hard with a LOT of your content and its been a comfort.

This is why i love teaching ESL. I get the struggle. I love guessing, could sit forever while we work on figuring out what word they are aiming for, miming is a second language. ❤

Far too relatable... I'm glad I'm not alone, though I wish nobody else had such struggles.😅

My partner (ADHD) will use words that are phonetically similar to what he is trying to say and I (Autistic) will use words thematically similar to what I am trying to say (well actually I will stop and say something like, ‘the only word in my head is X and I know that’s not right but I cannot remember the actual word, ’ and usually that’s enough for someone to work it out). It leads to some confusion sometimes.

Going through menopause which has increased the brain fog and I am forever describing things in this exact way because I can’t find the words.

I thought this was my Brain Injury 🤯.... (I lost most of my 'flow charts' after one). Word finding was worse, but it didn't recover...
Doesn't make a Functional difference, other than knowing more people understand.

Just yesterday I was asking a store associate where they keep the miniature curtains for the bottom of a bed because I forgot the word "skirt"
