Why Gonzaga will win the National Championship | Why they won't | Drew Timme was snubbed

The Gonzaga Bulldogs are the highest scoring offensive team in the country, while also boasting the second best field goal percentage, 11th best three point percentage, and 12th best assists per game mark. All that points to Mark Few's team being serious contenders to make a surprise run to the Final 4 and perhaps winning their first National Championship.

Of course, this team also struggles to protect the rim, in pick and roll defensive situations, and even guarding the three point line. No team has won a championship with a KenPom adjD number higher than 22, and Gonzaga's is currently 76. Will that be an issue for the Bulldogs in March?

We close out the show discussing Drew Timme being named an All-American second teamer, for the third year in a row. With a career-high in points, rebounds, and assists, and Gonzaga's toughest schedule yet, should Timme have received first team nod over Marcus Sasser or Jalen Wilson?

It appears to me that Drew has wanted to let this team grow around him and he is one of the greatest encouragers I’ve ever seen in any sport. I love this team primarily because they are excellent citizens. We collectively must remember why we have heroes. ( hint; It’s not vertical leap, bench press or KenPom score) It’s goodness, community presence and just general civility. So, go Zags go and know if you give it your best, that is sufficient for you and your fans. Thanks for a great season.
