I've been hesitating to upgrade my old Galaxy S20 Ultra because of the lack of microsd card slot in the newer models so it's nice to know that things haven't changed drastically. I gotta say that I'm pretty impressed with how far phones have come in the past decade, though I still use my Nikon Z6 for 98% of my photography and videos.

It is using the S10 5G model and the S20 Ultra model, and the optical zoom of the 20Ultra is differently powerful from the S10 model. But how good would 23 ultra be? I really want to use it someday.

Looks like they just fine tuned the s23ultra camera logarithm or nerfed the camera color science of s20ultra ...but there's obvious improvement in terms of stabilization and auto focus.

honestly, i am struggling to spot the difference between both phones in most of the comparison

Own them both and the s20 ultra is amazing value, aged like fine wine, holds pretty well in late 2023 and even early 2024 for sure, pretty similar specs between them, but the biggest difference for me is battery life and zoom, the s20 keeps well in performance, smoothness, display, speakers, wide and ultrawide lens but above 10x is a different story, 10x is decent, 30x ok usable but 100x mehhh in s20u but s23 in same scenario is far better in 30x and 100x up to 10x is comparable, s20u i would say is a good camera, s23u excellent camera, excellent battery life, s20u ok battery
Will be keeping the s20u as a secondary or backup device with my old micro sd, still love it

The s22 ultra just took more saturated photos compared to the last 4 generations of samsung phones. One of the biggest conplaints from photogrophers so how anybody could choose the s22 ultra in images over the s23 ultra is beyond me. Just saying 😊
