Hello, this was the transportvehicle for a grenadrifle group when I did my military service. 8 guys, 2 x 84mm carlgustav grenadrifles 1 maschingun, and 50 antitankmines. And a lot of other equipment 😅.
In the platoon we also had 2 Hägglunds 2061 with 90mm recoillessguns or TOW robots.
Did I mention, this was 77-79 😁
Tgb13 = terraincar 13 😲

I used to drive a Tgb20 back when I did my military service in 1997-98. The Tgb20 is basically the same, just a bit longer and no hard sides on the back. It was a troop transport so you could fold down the entire side and disembark all 18 soldiers in a matter of seconds. Our vehicle was fitted with a plywood wall separating the rearmost compartment and makin it into a storage compartment. We usually carried about 1.000 kilos of landmines there. xD

I _very_ much regret that I didn't buy one when the Swedish armed forces sold them out just after the millenium. Back then you could buy one in pristine condition for about 10.000 SEK or about $1.000. The used ones were basically sold as scrap.

We had this Volvo in my Company when I was in the Swedish Army back in 1979. It´s an awesome vehicle.

Do you have the snowchains? They are also used when going offroad, this way the Tgb 13 basically gets you anywhere

Doesn't look like you aired down? If so,
How is it to air down that beast and what air pump do you use to get those big boys back up?

I drove the tgb 13, when I did army service 1979-80. I drove the ”sick transport” (ambulanse light). It had a high top cabin behind the drivers cabin. We destroyed quite a few clutches...

I drove the C303/tgb11 (the 4x4 version) in the army, but trained on the C304/tgb13 as well. The latter felt more stable in rough terrain (somewhat worse than the one in the video), but I never had any serious mishap. The snow/terrain chains provide extra grip, but are a chore to mount.
