Also, keep in mind that vagus nerve damage also occurs from poor neck posture. Cervical instability causes massive cervical nerve problems that give people tons of horrible symptoms that most doctors cannot understand why. You can also look in the mirror see if your uvula (the dangling thing in the back of your throat) is deviated (curved to one side). This indicates a damaged vagus nerve

Having struggled with Lyme symptoms for a year after I tested free of the infection, I resonate with all of the folks who are experiencing "long haul" post viral symptoms. I must say though, there is a liberating aspect to a significant amount of the population having direct awareness of this, so that ignorant doctors can no longer infer that one is a hypochondriac.

i deal with this, stress give me so easy a viral flu. the only cure is to lower stress:
-eliminate conflicts
-stop bombarding the brain with alot of social media especialy in the evening
-Prioritize sleep
-avoid grains, sugar and stimulents(coffee)
-Learn how to get your body out of fight or flight and stay in parasimpatic state
-light workouts

Video is correct, I have suspected L.C. and box-breathing which stimulates the vagus nerve has been the no. 1 thing in my improvement. Massive game-changer.

Amazingly, all of the treatments in this video were prescribed to me by my functional medicine doctor 11 MONTHS AGO for my debilitating Long Covid fatigue (Along with some peptide therapies). I was back to working full time in couple weeks, after months of only minimal improvements from the Long Covid Clinic protocols.

Although these new vagus nerve stimulation technics look very interesting, they don't adress the root cause of the chronic fight or flight which is in the lymibic system and amygdala (Brain), DNRS and Gupta are made to adress this blockage in fight or flight of the brain which in turn affects the vagus nerve to put the whole body in rest and digest permanently, The thing with vagal neurostimulation is that when you stop it the problems come back because you didn't adress the source of the fight/flight, so you are dependent on the device. DNRS and gupta are made to be practiced from 6 months to a few years depending on the person and then you are good to stop it once you're in remission, And the success rates are very high, especially for DNRS which is very organised and needs a lot of discipline, you just need to have that discipline, Which is not easy but gets better with time.

Vagus Nerve biggest thing at the minute. Use Yoga, CBD, Cold shock therapy, and even music like the Amen break which modulate the Vagus nerve.

Food you want Organ meat and Kefir and anything rich in thiamine(B1 and B12).

Ive used this protocol for MS for years.

This is great. In addition, the best thing I know of to reduce cortisol and inflammation in the brain is phosphatidylserine. 200mg 3x/day of the liquid softgel form. Swanson brand seems to be the least expensive.

Somebody tell Physics Girl (Dianna Cowern) about this. She's been dealing with Post-Covid for nearly a year... to the point she can't even leave her bed.

I ran the "brain as the cause" idea by my neurologist a few years ago. He basically called me an idiot.

My fatigue is 8 years old now, ( since I treated chronic Lyme and EBV, )sometimes I have to crawl back to my car after going out for a little walk with my dogs, the fatigue is in every cell, I am the end of my tether with the chronic pain, migraines and spasms, today I haven't been out, resorted to Diazepam and vibrating massage tool, I am so depressed, I have been crying for 5 hours....I am utterly have followed Elliot's advice for months now with some improvement but honestly feel I would be better off dead.

If you are a post 45 year old woman (or earlier, for many people) you LIKELY have insufficient pregnenolone, a precursor hormone to all steroid hormones. I have found the most remarkable improvement in inflammation and subsequently improvement in vitality and quality of life by supplementing pregnenolone…more so than ANY other substance I have tried. And I’m 53 with young children who need a lot of energy from their Mom. So, I’ve tried a lot of things.
Pregnenolone is not a pregnancy hormone, despite its name. Men need it too, and the gym-focused (optimize the body-focused) circles are talking about it a lot right now. Listen, bc it has changed my life, and might be just the (very simple, inexpensive, OTC) thing you need!
I take 100 mg daily, and often more. Divide the doses (or you might get an headache from excess at once) and learn to feel when your body needs more.
Hormones matter more than precise food monitoring. Look at what most kids eat (or forget to eat, in order to achieve basically boundless energy) to drive home the point.

A less expensive option is to buy the right TENS unit with ear clippers (or stick the normal pads on the vagal nerve spots on the neck). I stimulated the vagus nerve this way twice a day for three months, but unfortunately no results. Now I'm doing the high dose B1-protocol, I'm four months in but still no results. Also trying the brain retraining, and I think this is the most effective. It gives you more insight in what is happening in your body and mind, and how this affects each other.

There's a homeopathic medication called "Traumeel" which stimulates the formation of SPMs and also has been effective in Long covid, according to some recent studies

Actually immunity system is not acting in a wrong way after post-viral conditions, but it’s acting in completely right way against reactivated herpes virus which were previously in latent state, and this is the reason behind chronic inflammation, please cover clinical trial by Virios Therapeutics they are working on this missing link
