This is Lyadov, and today, I'm in Dubai. It's in the United Arab Emirates. Some 50 years ago,the country almost looked like a desert. There were no skyscrapers, it was just a fishing village here. Yes, they found oil here, but just finding oil is not enough. Take other countries that have much oil and compare them to the UAE. This country managed to become one of the best quality-of-life-wise. This video is about how you could use your oil, attract investors from all over the world, and make yourself and your people rich.

This is the 1st video I didn't like. Felt like an ad for Dubai and not actual journalism that your channel is known for.
Just a suggestion but if you plan on doing more of these style of videos, perhaps do it under a second channel so you don't lose the subscribers that are here and love the great work you are known for. Not whatever this abomination was..

I feel that you focused too much on the luxurious side of Dubai. Like any other country, only a small percentage of people share the lifestyle you showed. You completely missed the exploitation of immigrants imo.

Does it just show the wealth or at some point it shows the lives of the people who keep this society going, the Bangladeshi builders who work for pennies and live in slums, because there are already a lot of videos talking about Dubai's wealth, but behind all wealth there is poverty and that is what I expected to see from this channel.

I’ve done some traveling to Dubai, Qatar and others in the Middle East and saw the other side of life there. Very contrasting to the images of luxury

This is the first video I disliked, you make amazing content of real stories. Yet with this video you show the normal perspective why? Is this an advert?

You talk about there being no corruption, what about the Indian and Pakistanis who get promised jobs & turn to slavery or the slaves castrated in the region?

What about all the people who died for those structures?

What about the environmental damage to the land and ocean corral from building & terraforming?

What about the oversight in development of infrastructure, like sewage issues with the Khalifa or the Islands sinking or the contribution to pollution?

What about the inhumane treatment of women, foreigners & criminals?

What about the funding of terrorist organizations ?

If its supposed to be more of a experience for yourself then thats great, were happy for you, you deserve to be rewarded for the quality of your content but this isnt so fitting to your previous expose style journalism.

Sad to see someone managed to buy this man, Lyadov is usually very skilled at covering both negative and positive aspects of any area and this time it seems there are only good things, I know this is not the case because such a place does not exist and my only conclusion is that someone sponsored him to not do what he is good at: TRUTH

A lot of people saying that this documentary about Dubai is propaganda and that Lydov only shows luxury lives. But actually this was filmed for Russians that living in the country that have same amount of oil and a lot of natural resources, but people in Dubai is living and in Russian they are struggling. And also this documentary's russian version is met with pleasure by Russians

This is the first video on your channel that I didn't enjoy. The main reason why is because it just shows only the good parts of Dubai that everyone already know of. There are many problems with Dubai and showing them would have been far more interesting to contrast both sides. I would have loved to learn more about the immigrants that live in inhumane conditions, the giant skyscrapers that serve very little practical purpose since there is a whole desert to build on and other nonsensical spending of funds. In the end I didn't feel that I got connected to the people of Dubai just the successful/rich.

What a great documentary! The negative comments are just a bunch of people who don't appreciate positive content. It is always exciting to see multiple perspectives and ways on how people live all across the world, good and bad perspectives. The reality is the UAE is thriving. Keep up the good job Anton!

Many channels have made Dubai documentaries like this instead of glorifying it should've done the other side poor/construction workers....their tallest building isn't connected to a sewer system
