Raccoon begging for food

A raccoon is taking mini banana muffins from me.

They are cute but they kept getting into a pole barn I store my lawn mowers in. They were eating the cat food and pooping in and around my mowers. Even after sealing up the barn several years ago to keep them out I still find dried mounds of poop when I move stuff and clean up. Several years ago I was sitting on a chair relaxing when one came from behind me, walked between the legs of the chair and between my legs like I was not even there. They can be bold, dangerous and carry rabies.

This is very cute!!! Raccoons are very cute, but they have a lot diseases.... so wash your hands! ;D

Problem is, if you feed them, they will depend on humans to give them food in the future. They will always come to humans.

I fed a raccoon shrimp at the place we stayed at when we went to universal studios once. c: they're so cute. ^.^

Awww, that was a real heart melter Lisa! :D He was all like "oh YUM!....you really getting me some more? Oh im in heaven! (After that third one) Thanks alot miss, see ya!" :D I did that to a cub Fox outside my house once, had to lock my girlie dog inside of course. Gave him some bread, he looked so nice in the fur but skinny, so i couldnt resist helping him out abit. I think its him showing up now and then, if the winter is hard. He doesnt come to the house, he just checks if im around lol.

Raccoons can be very friendly.
My family used to vacation in a resort in Minnesota and the owners had a pet raccoon that hung around the area with the guests and seemed to take a liking to us. They named it Pelicoon after the lake there, Pelican Lake, and Pelicoon would crawl up on my shoulders and sit on my head sometimes and he would come into our cabin and make himself home ! That was so much fun as a kid !

I worked in a factory on the edge of town that had 10 or so racoons living in its rafters. We had to keep the breakroom table pushed up against the fridge so they wouldn't steal our lunches. I still remember walking into that breakroom the first week there and seeing 4 racoons sitting around my gallon of milk and box of cookies I had brought. I couldn't help but be impressed that they took both my cookies, and my milk, and they figured out the twist cap on the milk. I love smart animals. :D
