iPhone 16 Pro DROP TEST! (vs 15 Pro)

I flew all the way to Australia to get the iPhone 16 early and drop test it vs the iPhone 15 Pro! While Apple said they made the ceramic shield front 50% stronger, my findings were mixed. Thanks to Pendleton for helping me film!

To be honest, I don't feel that safe with iPhones unless I carry them with a good quality case.

at this point Sam is going on with the tradition of EverythingApplePro

It would be hilarious if you went back to the apple store immediately to get it repaired. Let them wonder how you managed to wreck the phone in less than a day.

Sam, I think you need to do another durability test, but this time a little differently. Get a 15 Pro/Max and a 16 Pro/Max, take a pebble, and drop it onto each of the phones’ screens respectively, from various heights. This will eliminate the variables of the angle of drop, edge impact, etc., and prove the differences in the actual screen durability.

rmwhosetheboss explained this 2nd gen ceramic shield well which actually matches with what is happening here.

It looks like the concrete is textured and uneven. This creates a lot of variability in your experiment. I'd suggest doing this on a uniform surface IF the objective is to test the two phones head-to-head. But otherwise, thank you for putting this out!

15PM was worse than 14PM. Now 16PM is worse than 15PM...
Ladies and gentlemen, we're moving backwards.

There’s kinda no point of doing this kind of video. If you compare drops they’ve got to be identical. If not then you’re comparing different things. Idk, I think it’s stupid doing it this way.

8:47 I'd rather have a cracked screen that works, that a non cracked screen that doesn't show anything!

I think it's hilarious that people like Leo Laporte think durability tests are a waste. Random drop tests are quite insightful and I'm here for it!

It looks like the 16 had one REALLY bad luck fall in the beginning but then it really started to show some muscle, so to speak.

Please tag this drop test to Apple . So they should test the same at their end

Sam pays $2, 000 to go to Australia for return flights and stay for 3 days. Sam Buys an iPhone 16 Pro Max and 15 Pro Max probably around $2, 000 for both together. In total about $4, 000 Spend to make this video! Sam gets paid ad revenue $700-$1300 total for this video and about $1500 from ESR...
Sam EQUALS Silly Bad Sam you have lost money and you are NOT an EverythingApplePro replacement and NEVER will be!

The difference between unusable and really unusable. But well, the display dead after four drops is unacceptable.

Bro, because of your drop tests between 14Pro, 15 Pro and now on 16 Pro, I can proudly say that my choice for 14Pro is the wisest one…..☺️

I purchased 14 Pro this March, its durability is class apart from 15 Pro and 16 Pro…..

The only thing I have to worry is about the Battery, for 14 Pro has 3200mAh, due to it’s form factor

My Take on Stainless Steel and Titanium Frames….:

Stainless Steel frame is prone to scratches, however the frame holds on and gets dent marks only if the impact is strong. The frame protects the display and takes the dents all on itself,
The back glass too is good enough.

Titanium frame attracts less scratches(normal scratches) however is very prone to dents, shattering of back glass is quite common as it no longer has the steel membrane.

14 Pro Display has a thick bezels, which protects the display on corner
/side impacts.

15 and 16 Pro are very very prone to display shattering thanks to its lesser bezels and the contoured frame fails to protect the display, causing damage both to the frame and to the display…😢

My Advise : Cases are highly recommended for Titanium frames…😂

There are some hard pieces embedded in those concrete plates, I've already seen drop tests of 16ProMax with very different results: some youtubers have to drop it from like 3 meters to get it dented, some break it to unusable state from 1, 5 meters. Oh, and the screen glass, though more crack-resistant - is more prone to scratches than 12Pro's screen, so take care.
