In my school exams have every formula and lists and even the entire periodic table and you can use your calculator freely. I have a TI Nspire and it is pretty advanced you can hide tons of things there.

I've never used this to cheat but someone could. I've noticed on TI Inspire calculators that you can save things in press to test mode while you're in it, so if you just always stay in press to test mode you'll have all your past documents or saved notes for the test. However, if you ever leave press to test all the documents will be deleted, but that also means it would be impossible to find evidence of your cheating.

I had a teacher that allowed headphones and also gave you the answers to study, so I'd record myself saying the answers then play it during a test, the funniest part is I'd 100% every test, but do okay on homework yet he never caught on haha, I just didn't want to fail any classes and that particular one was difficult.

Not sure if it's still the case but about a decade ago with the TI calculators all you had to do was archive your notes, then you could clear and erase everything but the archives remained, then you just unarchive it. I used this a few times and was pretty astounded no one had figured it out.

I remember in elementary school I bought a sign language book that thought me all the alphabets and other words. I had a classmate who was interested it it as well and we studied it. Later my classmate wanted to use sign language to cheat on a test between us. It didn't work because he got the signs all mixed up, lol and I really didn't want to do it.

my biology teacher gets upset when he catches students cheating, not because they were cheating, but because they got caught. he says if you're gonna cheat, don't make it obvious. actually put some thought into it so I don't catch you. he also will let us use notes sometimes and if the test lasts more than one day he says to write down the problems we didn't get so we can look up the answers when we get home. sometimes he even lets us use our phones on our tests

for TI, it only clear the RAM, you can either archive it (it can also be clear if doing complete factory rest) as for me, i just write to the ROM and no matter how hard u rest or restore, it will be there... i usually does that, and it helps me on memorize all the calculus theorem, as you need to create an assembly / part C program ...

in highschool, i spent lots of time writing program on TI 83/83+, and write cheats for people's TI83 games... like memory injection or sniffing, ... especailly they play lots of black jack on TI or link Tetris... cheats for that are so popular!

as for when you ever use those calculus theorem? well, for me is all the time, 2nd /3rd level derivative is common use in image processing... seriously, i hate calculus though out highschool, until i realize how useful it is to find out correlation/relationship between 2 dataset/info

On one test I had a pen with a pull out scroll that had some type of ad on it for some med stuff. I wrote some information on the side facing me and for a week straight I would play with the pull out scroll during class so the teacher would think it was just some weird fidget I had. It worked until the paper split mid test. Still passed though.

If u wear glasses u could just pull off a pixels by writing the answers on the inside of your glasses
