I wrote her a letter to send to her fanmail thanking her for being a wonderful influence in my life. I wrote it a week before she passed, but I never got around to sending it. It's sitting in my desk, stamped and sealed. I'll keep it forever, and I'll probably never open it back up. I'd intended to do it for years, but there was always something else that needed to get done first. I will never forget her. My grandmother was a lot like her, and when she passed when I was 9, Betty White sort of filled that role in my life. Every time I saw her on TV, whether she was playing a character, or just being herself, she genuinely made me smile. There aren't many people in Hollywood I think are truly good at heart, but Betty was one of them. She will be sorely missed.
