Thank you for your video on this subject. I finally figured out how to use this type of text layout in Android studio. Could you tell me how what I would click on to use a field for a date? And maybe it would be pre-formatted for a date input?

endIconMode i.e. clear_text does not work once the addTextchangedListner is added in java file. can you please throw some light on this. the application stops running if clear_text icon is clicked.
